ANGELES CITY, Pampanga- After exactly one year of the signing of the Sister-City Pact Agreement between Davao and Angeles, presidential bet Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte visited the city last February 5 to comply on Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan’s courtesy call.
In his last year’s visit in Pampanga, Duterte said to Governor Lilia Pineda and to the reporters that he is determined that he will not run for president even if he is aware that his supporters have already spent much in supporting him.
Now, one of his reasons in visiting the province is to meet his supporters who waited for more than two hours just to see him.
Mayor Ed Pam welcomed Duterte and his supporters from Davao with his remarks of the support of his children towards the presidential candidate.
On the other hand, Duterte explained his platform about drugs, crime, corruption and the Mindanao rebellion which he reiterate also in his appearance in City of San Fernando later that evening.
He also mentioned about Jueteng and how drugs can be a substitute if Jueteng will be illegalized. “Di ako namumulitika, kasi kung pinutol ko 'yan (referring to Jueteng), ang papalit d'yan shabu. Kaya patayin ko muna itong shabu, sasarahan ko ito... then maybe, in the fullness of God's time” Duterte said.
He even promised in his conference in CSFP that if he will be elected as president, he would release former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from detention.
